How to import a Bricks template in 5 minutes

Got a new Bricks template and not sure where to start? This quick guide walks you from download to a live page, without the guesswork.
Before you start
Make sure Bricks is installed and up to date, and take a backup of your site. Importing a template doesn’t touch your existing pages, but a backup is always the safe move.
Step 1: Download and unzip
After checkout you’ll get a single .zip file. Unzip it and you’ll find the Bricks template as a JSON file. That’s the only file you need.
Step 2: Import it into Bricks
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Bricks → Templates → Import, choose the JSON file and hit import. The template now shows up in your template list.
Step 3: Insert it into a page
Open any page in the Bricks builder, open the templates panel, pick your imported template and insert it. For full-site templates, assign the header, footer and pages as you go.
Step 4: Make it yours
- Swap the logo and brand colors
- Update the text and images
- Check every breakpoint, from desktop down to mobile
That’s it. Because Spil templates are built natively in Bricks, there’s nothing to clean up afterwards, so you can get on with launching.
